What I Learned This Week

The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.  ~Alvin Toffler

This page will be a weekly journal in which you reflect on your learning during the past week in any or all of your classes.  You must always include a date and reference a specific standard or objective.  (**Teachers- you might consider posting some of the following questions to guide students as they reflect on the learning process).

*  What did you learn most recently?
*  Why did you want to learn this?  What was your purpose for learning?
*  Was your learning motivated by curiosity or necessity?
*  How did the learning happen- by doing, watching, talking, or studying?
*  Who else was involved in the learning process?  How did they help or hinder?
*  How did you know you were successful?
*  Would you have like anything to go differently?

*NOTE:  These learning questions were taken from chapter 4- Self-Awareness, from the book, Classroom Habitudes:  Teaching Habits and Attitudes for 21st Century Learning, by Angela Maiers

The reflection process must include the following probing and clarification questions as you reflect on your learning:  (**Teachers- you can incorporate as many as these as you would like- these are suggestions).
